L1 : Fire Safety Awareness at Work – (4 hours)

Who is this for?

The Fire Safety Awareness at Work qualification is intended for employees that are required to undertake training in fire awareness at work. The qualification has been developed to meet the training requirements outlined in best practice guidance.

 

Pre-Requisites:

This qualification is available to those over 14 years. Learners should be at least a level 1 numeracy and literacy or equivalent

 

 

Course content

The Fire Safety Awareness at Work qualification has been developed to provide an introduction to the basics of fire awareness in the workplace.

• The fire triangle
• Understand and the spread of smoke and f ire
• Explain how to use fire extinguishers
• Actions in the event of a fire
• Safe evacuation

The content has. been written to meet accepted guidelines. The delivery will be tailored to the needs of the employer.

This may include undertaking a fire evacuation; additional time may be required.

Learners may also wish to attend the QNUK level 2 Award in Fire Safety for Fire Marshals ( RQF)
